The "silly" picture...

Its a miracle!!

That's what Maycee ran in and said to KC one morning ofter she had been playing in her room for a while. He went with her back to her room and this is what he saw: And this is how the conversation went:
MJ: Look dad it's a miracle
KC: Oh...what are they doing?
MJ: They are having conversations.
Such a clever little girl. She set up everr little figurine she could find with another one facing the first and as close together as they could be...and they were all having conversations! So funny!
Halle and Maycee playing with all her disney characters the night we got back from Disneyland. Love how classic this photo is...just two little girls imagining and talking and playing.
Here is the little lady! She is getting so big...I went to get her after a nap the other day and there she was standing up in her crib, ready with a smile!

D to the Land

The best way to start your day at Disneyland is with the must see character...Mickey Mouse!!! We were able to get in the park a little early and there he was right at the front of the park. Maycee was so brave and walked right up for a hug (a huge difference from a year ago)!! Layla, on the other hand, wasn't so sure...The first ride of the trip...the Dumbo ride. I think Maycee may have been the most excited about the feather. Layla's face is hilarious in this picture...don't know what she was doing. But Maycee is lovin it! However, most of the other rides in fantasty land were not as appreciated. She burried her face and covered her eyes for every "kid" ride. They are all so dark inside and it made her so scared!! Her parents thought it was pretty funny...Maycee and Camden...these two had SO much fun together! Love those Monsens!!The Buzz Lightyear ride...this and the new Toystory ride (in california adventure) are the only dark inside rides we could get her to keep her eyes open on.Our little Layla was such a dream both days...hardly fussy and seemed to really enjoy herself. I think she is really into people watching! One of the "must have" pictures. KC wasn't really into it so I made Maycee, I mean Aurora, join me.The perfect ending to any little girls day...a happy meal in her princess dress.

A Royal Meal

We took a breif break from Disneyland the first day to head over for the one part of the trip Maycee knew for sure was going to happen - a meal with the Princesses. There were a couple hitches in the road to making it happen (a forgotten dress and forgotten reservation), but in the end it all came together and was amazing!!
We had breakfast at Ariel's Grotto in California Adventure...this is definitely something I would do again (maybe try lunch next time instead)!!!

Love that cheesy little smile! This lucky girl got to pick out a new princess dress with matching tiarra (forgetful mom left the cinderella dress at home). Ariel
Our first Princess encounter...she was so cute to Maycee and I loved seeing the excitement Maycee had when she first laid eyes on a real princess.Guess who she just spotted...Aurora
Maycee for sure was the most excited to meet Sleeping Beauty and she spent pleanty of time telling her all about her pretty pink dress!!Snow White
This little sleeping beauty slept on the chair right next to mom for most of the breakfast.Belle
Cinderella
She was so increadibly cute with Maycee...talked with her about her pretty blond hair and beautiful smile. Love how she held her hand for the picture on the left...The details...The food and dancing was great!
She was awake just in time to help us polish off the food! Meeting so many wonderful Princesses really wore her out!

C to the A

We started our day at California Adventure with a little parade and then it was down to business to make sure we saw "the one that got away".
Besides the Princesses, Maycee only cared about one other character - Jessie. We were cheated out of seeing her at Disneyland the first day and Maycee was devestated. I was determined to not let it happen again...

She was a bit shy but lovery every minute of talking to Jessie and constantly asks to see the pictures of her and Jessie. And, as a bonus look who showed up just as we were done...Maybe one day these two will go on their first date in a car just like "Lightning"Bugs Life show...worst idea for any kid under the age of 5. Monsen Fam We ended our night with the World of Color show on the water. Maycee sang every song and loved the shows on the water...great way to end a wonderful trip. Thanks for everything Monsens!!
