DEAL !!!

We have a friend named Adam (aka "Spanky") that we worked with at EFY for 3 years. He lives in San Antonio and auditioned to be on "Deal or No Deal" just about a year ago. Well, last week the producer of the show called him and invited him to be on the show. Spanky called and told us on April fools day, so we thought he was just joking....turns out it was no joke! He invited us to be two of his guests, so we jumped on a plane and headed to LA. It was an awesome experience! The show is episode #363 (you can check pictures out at http://www.nbc.com/Deal_or_No_Deal/photos/#cat=862&sec=1810&mea=43220 as soon as they put them up). The show is scheduled to air on June 11. The taping took 7 hours for one episode. We should have gotten a good amount of camera time since they had a camera man positioned on his friends the whole time to get our reactions to everything. Spanky had his wife, brother, and best friend Chip on the stage with him, and the other 5 of us sat on the front row just to the left of the case. Unfortunately because the taping took so long, Sally had to catch a plane to be back to work, so she was not able to stay the whole time, therefore you will probably see more of K.C. on the show. We cant tell you how much he won, but we can tell you that it is definately worth watching. He was one of those contestants that took some HUGE risks and made it really intense to watch. They also did something that they had never done on an episode before (dont ask, just watch and see), and the models also dressed up in what K.C. refers to as "The hottest outfits I have ever seen them wear!". After the taping, K.C. got to hang out in the studio for a little bit while they got things ready for another taping later that night. He got to meet Howie and some of the models (Tameka #21, Katie #11, and Ursula #5). They did not allow cameras in the studio, but K.C. was able to snap a few photos on his camera phone (see below).

K.C. after the show. The grin on his face is because he just met some of the models.
Theres Tamika #21.
The bankers booth K.C. was mad because he never was able to find stage 5........bummer.

Amazing!

I was sitting on a plane yesterday, on my way home from a day trip to California and as my thoughts wandered I was amazed by what I was thinking of. So, here, in no particular order are things that never cease to amaze me...

-How no matter how much you talk about being happy that you get to have a big empty bed to yourself, when you actually climb into bed, you realize how much you miss that person lying next to you. Whether it has been under 24 hrs that they haven't been next to you or a few days. The funniest part is, you know full well that if that person was next to you, there is no way you would be touching or cuddling...so why do you want them there so badly?

-How every elderly person, especially couples walking together make me smile. Same thing for little kids...

-The fact that no matter how innovative we think this world has become, for some reason, people can't make clothing that properly fits tall women, especially tall pregnant women...Unless you pay half your salary for a pair of pants and a shirt...

-The strange but familiar connection that baseball has with summer. Even though its barely 60 degrees when opening day comes...I feel so warm and toasty when I am watching a baseball game. Whether at home or in a hoodie at the ball park, I know this means summer is here again and there will be NO snow for a long while.

-And last but not least: a spouse that can make me feel so important with the smallest comment. Having someone to share the lamest and most important moments in your life with and knowing they will always let you complain even if they are REALLY tired of hearing it. Knowing that without that person you don't really know what is going on or what you are supposed to be doing. Realizing that this is what life is about....

I know this all very random, but really weird things happen when you are pregnant and your hormones make you think crazy...Enjoy!!

The boys are back in town!

After a long winter, the boys of summer are back! There is nothing better than the smell of freshly cut grass, pine tar, hot dogs, and garlic fries! WE LOVE BASEBALL!!!!! Below is K.C.'s favorite baseball picture. It is of a cubs player named Rick Monday who snatched an american flag from some freaks that had run onto the field to burn it. In our opinion, it is the greatest play in baseball history! Click on the link below the picture to watch the actual video of it taking place! It is awesome! Go Angels!

A Shout Out To My Wife.....

You always see girls write about their husbands on their blogs, and how much they love them....blah blah blah.....but you rarely see a husband writng about his bride...so here it comes.

I have been out of town on business for 21 days in the last month, and I freaking miss my wife. It is the little things that I miss the most.....I was in Denver and spilled some ketchup on my shirt, and she wasn't there to rescue me with her little Tide Stick. I froze in Chicago for two weeks and wanted nothing more than to cuddle under a blanket in the hotel room at night. I ate double doubles at In-N-Out in San Diego 3 times, but it just didn't taste as good without her sharing my fries. I am in San Francisco right now and I am too lazy to iron my suits, so they will just stay wrinkled (Hell, I don't even know if my ties are matching my suits!). I watch American Idol by myself, the news is not recorded for me when I get back to my room, her cold feet are not in bed with me to cool me down at night, and her girly lotion is way better than this hotel crap. I miss seeing her belly, and having her grab my hand and press it against it to feel the baby kick. I miss her sarcasim, her nightly cup of chocolate milk, and the word "mere" when she wants me close. The only lovin I have been getting is from the lady that talks to me through the GPS navigation system in the rental car (she has a hot english accent, I especially like it when she says "turn right"...I named her Monique).

It is not until you dont have something, that you realize what you got is pretty dang good. Luxury once experienced becomes necessity....and I needs me my wife! I love ya Sal, I'll be home soon.

Vamanos!!!

Last week we went on our last official "vacation" before the baby comes. We headed down to Playa Del Carmen (just south of Cancun) for an adventurous five days with a couple of KC's cousins and their spouses. We enjoyed some really crappy mexican food and some really AWESOME mexican food, the sun, the sand, and the sunburns! It was exactly what we needed and we are hoping there will be many more of these trips to come...this kid better like airplanes and taco stands!!

Just Another Weekend....

First off...Sally's oldest brother was in town from Seattle and we were able to celebrate his birthday on Friday night at Rodizio Grill. It was so great to see them and so nice to celebrate his birthday with him for the first time in quite a few years. Today is his actual birthday, so here's a shout out to him...Happy Birthday Jacob!! We love you!!

Next...on Saturday night we went to dinner with Kristin and the kids and Landon. Nothing really out of the ordinary, except for the funniest thing Jack has said in quite some time...He looked at Sally and said: "Hey Sally, you remember me? I'm a monster." Nothing really to provoke him, but just wanted to make sure Sally knew that he was a monster...REALLY funny!!! So excited to hear the things our kids will come up with.

Not much, but everyone keeps telling us we need a new post...so here you go...

.

On the go.....

If you know us, you know we love to travel. K.C. has turned into a bit of a stat geek, and he has kept a travel log of everywhere we have been. Since the day we went to Maui to get engaged, we have been to 58 cities in 18 countries. To get there, we have been on 5 cruises and 168 flights totaling 174,507 miles (that is 7 times around the earth, or 3/4 the way to the moon). We have seen the inside of 40 different airports, and have spent a total of 396 hours sitting next to each other on a plane (that will help you to get to know each other real fast!). K.C's favorite places have been London, Buenos Aires, the Mediterranean and the many Angels Baseball games we have been to (he even had a player come out of the dugout and give him his bat at a game in Seattle against the Mariners. He was as giddy as a little boy!). Sally's favorite trips have been Europe (especially Florence), Cabo San Lucas, and the Southern Caribbean. To check out a map of everywhere we have been, you can go to http://my.flightmemory.com/kileyanderson. The slide show above highlights some of our favorite trips.

We have decided that the one thing we can never get back in this life is time. We are glad that we have taken the time to escape from our familiar surroundings to be with one another, becoming the best of friends, and making memories together that will last us through the eternities. We hope this new baby of ours likes to SLEEP on airplanes......

Here we go........

Alright already....we'll do a freaking blog! Back off!

We have been married for 3 1/2 years now, we live in Daybreak (South Jordan,Utah... www.daybreakutah.com ), and our first baby (a girl....er tomboy) is scheduled to make an appearance on June 4. Sally is working as the Sports Information Office Manager for the University of Utah athletic department. K.C. is still working a few nights a week at Skywest Airlines, but his main job is working full time as a Corporate Trainer and Software Consultant for a company called The Higher Gear Group (only bad part is that he travels all over the country, 3 nights a week). We love taking trips together, watching baseball, eating sushi, watching "flip that house", and just hanging out together. Our favorite worldly possessions are K.C's new big screen, Sallys truck, and the babies new stroller. K.C. is still bald and bleeds blue, Sally still has big lips and bleeds red, we are healthy, happy, and still laugh together daily....what else could we ask for????
