Music City, U.S.A

Its been a bit since we have been back, but this needs to be documented for sure! We took a three day trip to Nashville, TN courtesy of the radio station KBUL 93. That's right, Sally won a trip to the CMA awards that were held in Nashville this year. It was a fun little getaway...we had to take Maycee because the little bugger won't take a bottle anymore and we didn't want her to starve! KC's sister Kristin volunteered to come help with MJ (I think she needed a little break from her two little ones). Then, at the last minute KC's other sister Katie decided to join us also. KC was really outnumbered by all the females!

KC was such a good sport to take us everywhere to see everything in Nashville and even let us shop a little. Thanks to him for watching Maycee while we were at the show even though he didn't feel good, love you!

Here are some pictures of our adventures....

Jack's BBQ, best food! If you're ever in Nasville, go...its worth it, we went twice!!

Poor KC got sick the day of the show, so Kristin gladly took his ticket!

Helping Mom get ready...

View from our seats...not that great. But it's the experience that matters!

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood hosted the CMAs

Good ol' Garth Brooks on the Wall of Records in the Country Music Hall of Fame

Quite possibly the cutest and happiest baby ever...

The last stop...The Grand Ole Opry

Maycee thought she was a big girl on the flight back to SLC!

This might make you giggle...

I just wanted a smiling picture of her first alien pony tail, but ended up with a video of the most giggly girl!!

Who would have thought that spider that she plays with almost every day in her car seat (thanks grandpa) would make her laugh this much?

P.S. don't mind the random breathing you can hear in the back ground, I was trying to muffle my own laughter.

Chicken Little

No trick-or-treating this year...just visits to the grandparents. We started at Sally's parents then had a little dinner, visited our friend Marin and her parents, and rounded off the night at KC's parents. It was a little late by the time we finished, but Maycee just napped between all the stops so she was pretty happy all night. She was such a cute little chicken and a good sport to parade around for everyone.

Welcome Baby Olivia

Congratulations to our good friends Amy and Casey Twitty! They just adopted the cutest little baby after a very long wait. Little Olivia is so cute and looks and acts like she has been with them since the beginning. She is almost seven months and towers over Maycee, but they seem to be freinds already! Way to go you guys, we love you!!

Pumpkins

While KC was home for a day last week, we decided to take advantage and head to the pumpkin patch. We headed over to one not too far from our house with our neighbors the Osmonds. It was a little chilly, so we had to make it quick, but couldn't resist getting some really great photos to document Maycee's first pumpkin patch experience. As you can tell she almost made it out with out a crying picture...but isn't she still so cute even though she's crying. (warning: lots of pictures ahead...)

{Thanks for hanging out and taking some great pictures Osmond Fam!}

The reason for the...fascination

I didn't dance when I was younger, can't do it that well now, don't plan on enrolling my child in dance unless she requests it...but, I can not miss this show
As I watched last night, I was trying to decide why I am so into it. I haven't really watched from the first season, just the last couple seasons. I should steer clear of the show because the tiny size of all the females on the show does not help my self-esteem. However, I find myself so excited every Monday afternoon for what is to come in just a few hours. I finally realized the reason for my fascination.

In May of 2007 we went on a Mediterranean cruise. It was the maiden voyage for Disney cruise lines, so there was a couple of "extras" for those aboard the ship. Because Disney owns ABC, the runners-up of the most recent Dancing With the Stars were on the ship, Kym Johnson and Joey Fatone (they lost to Julianne Hough and Apolo Anton Ohno). They performed one night and had a signing party one day. After Joey Fatone sang Mustang Sally to me as he signed my ship itinerary and seeing them perform live...I was so excited for the next season and it hasn't stopped. Here are a couple pics from the cruise

{This was a dance they did during the season...at least that is what my father-in-law told me, yep he has watched it from the beginning!}

{Yep, I stood in line with all the teeny-boppers on the ship to get an autograph...love his shirt!}

No more burrito...

This is Maycee 3 months ago

This is Maycee just the other night

She has now turned a corner, no more tight burrito baby! She wants her arms free and a loose blanket to snuggle when she goes to sleep. Such a little snuggle bug!! Oh, and she is sleeping in her crib!

Did that REALLY happen???

If you saw it, you know the reason for the question. If you didn't see it, you REALLY missed out. The Utes pulled one out last night and even though it was a little late for Maycee and she wasn't the happiest at the end of the night, it was well worth it!

{notice the unhappy child...oh, and the scoreboard if you can read it Utah 31, OSU 28}
